It’s a bummer though I was motivated! I was going to make 2 batches, one today and another tomorrow or Thursday.Ĭould’ve been worse though it could’ve died halfway through the brew. My yeast will be okay on the spin plate for a while longer, and worse case, I can put them to sleep in the fridge. ![]() Now I wait, because the Foundry is expensive, and I figure I should at least give them a day to get back to me before I take it apart and start poking around its guts. The popularity has been driven by their low cost, compact. These include systems like the DigiMash, Braumeister, Grainfather, Brewzilla, and Anvil Foundry. A search of the Internets didn’t provide anything useful, so I emailed Anvil. There has been an explosion in the popularity of small all-in-one all grain electric brewing systems. I called Anvil, but they’re East Coast, so it was too late to talk to anyone. I tried to get it to work a few times, and I even let it run a bit to see if it would power through, but nope, it’s sounds like it’ll burn up. Set the power level to 100%… and the fan started making terrible noises. It was very hard not to compare all of the other options to BeerSmith as it is what I use every brew day. Its tool set is very robust and once it is set up for your brewing style and equipment, its calculations are very accurate. Poured my mash water into the Foundry and lowered in the grain basket. BeerSmith is by far one of the most used pieces of software in the homebrewing community. ![]()
